Tuition
Rates for 2026 are as follows:
- $155 per month for 30-minute private lessons, taken once a week.
- $230 per month for 45-minute private lessons, taken once a week.
- $295 per month for 60-minute private lessons, taken once a week.
Billing is monthly and due on the last day of the preceding month. If you begin mid-month, your lessons will be pro-rated to reflect the number of lessons in the month. There is a $25 registration fee due at time of first month's payment.
Explanation of flat rate policy:
Tuition is based on 46 weeks in the year and then divided by month. The rate does not change based on the number of lesson in a given month. This works out so that months that have 5 lessons in them cost the same as months with 4 lessons, giving the student a "bonus" lesson that month.
Holidays are already factored into monthly tuition. In the presence of a major holiday, students will receive 3 lessons in a month. However, as mentioned, because of months with 5 lessons, holiday months balance this out. As opposed to some schools that increase tuition or skip lessons in months that have an extra (5th) lesson, at CB Drums & More Music Lessons, the 5th lesson is always included at no extra charge, and your monthly rate is predictable, making it easy to fit into your budget. Over the course of the year, this price saves the student money, as well as making billing a simple process for the studio and the student.
Policies
- Payment: Payment is due in full on last day of the preceding month, and lessons will not be held until payment is made.
- Cancelations & Make Up Lessons: You are responsible for informing the teacher of any conflicts before the beginning of the upcoming month. There are no refunds for missed lessons. However, make up lessons may be available, subject to the teacher's availability, on the 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month between 12pm-3pm. There is no guarantee a missed lesson can be rescheduled, even if eligible. These are extra hours that the instructor offers outside of working hours, only when they can. Below are the requirements for makeup lesson eligibility:
-Student must inform the instructor, in writing, that they will miss a lesson BEFORE the start of the month.
-Student has not had another make up lesson in the month. Only ONE makeup lesson a month is allowed per student.
-Make up lessons must be used in the same month of the missed lesson. They do not roll over to the following month.
-No credits are given for missed lessons.
-Make up lessons will not occur outside of the specified hours listed above.
Rest assured that if the reason that a lesson is missed is due to a conflict on the instructor's behalf, the lesson will always be made up. In the event that the lesson cannot be rescheduled, the student will receive a credit on the next month's tuition.
Withdrawal
If a student wishes to discontinue lessons, written notice must be given by emailing or by phone no later than the 15th of the final month you wish to be billed for lessons. Your time slot is reserved under the assumption that you are continuing lessons each month so please, do not wait until the last lesson of the month, or the beginning of the new month to put in your notice that you wish to withdraw from lessons. If you fail to notify me in writing that you wish to discontinue lessons before the 15th of the preceding month, you will be charged in full for the following month. In this scenario, there are no refunds. There is no penalty or charge for discontinuing lessons, and students are always welcome back at any time. Upon re-enrollment, students will be subject to the same $25 onboarding fee.
Holidays
Lessons will not occur on most major holidays and during holiday breaks. These days are listed in the student calendar that is provided upon enrollment. There are no tuition adjustments or make-up lessons given for lessons that fall on the above major holidays because all students receive additional lessons at no extra cost on months where an extra (5th) week occurs. Upon enrollment, students will receive a detailed studio calendar with more information.
