How do guitar lessons work?

Once a week private lessons on acoustic or electric guitar cover all of the basics. Learn to play your favorite songs, sing and strum, play licks and solos, all while building the foundation necessary to become a lifelong player.

What levels do you teach?

All levels are taught here. If you haven't yet started guitar, this is the perfect place to learn! If you can play a few chords but aren't sure where to go from here, then private lessons will give you a road map for furthering your skills. Struggling with advanced chords, fingerpicking, or lead guitar? One-on-one coaching ensures you play with correct technique, breaks down difficult concepts, and makes reaching the next level on guitar feel accessible.

What is the right age to start guitar?

In general, by age 7, most children are ready to start music lessons. Because young hands are still growing, building muscles, and learning fine motor control, kids under 10 may find it more accessible to start on ukulele and then later transfer to guitar. Do I have to read music?

At CB Music Lessons, we believe reading is fundamental to understanding music. But don't worry, we dip our toes in with just a few notes at a time and we learn at the pace that is right for you. Lessons are a safe, encouraging environment for you to musically grow.
