Do I need a drum set at home to start lessons?

Nope! Just a practice pad and sticks are all that's needed to start lessons. The studio comes equipped with two drum sets-one for students and one for demonstration, making lessons easy to follow along.

What levels do you teach?

All levels are taught here. Beginners learn the basics and how to play songs they love. Intermediate players hone their craft by diving into more technical songs and polishing their chops. Pre-professional players learn to chart songs, write parts that groove, the ropes of studio performance, and more.

What is the right age to start drum lessons?

In general, by age 7, most children are ready to start drum lessons. Younger students start with hand drums, body percussion, and rhythmic activities to learn the foundations of rhythm before moving on to learning the full drum set.

Do I have to read music?

At CB Music Lessons, we believe reading is fundamental to understanding music. But don't worry, it's not as complicated as it might seem at first! Many students have even learned to read basic rock beats in just one lesson!
